Death Is Only The Beginning(A Ranma 1/2 fanfic and sequel to "Fate of 
Akane"),by Mike Rhea
It's been two weeks since Ryouga's anger over a nightmare not only cost 
Akane her life(and Genma and Souun their lifelong dreams),but it has 
almost ruined Ranma's life:Though a distraught Ryouga has confessed to 
the accidental killing(and is under a suicide watch in prison),not only
did Soun blame it on Ranma,but also kicked him out of the Tendou doujou.
In fact,when Ukyou invited him to move in with her,he was eager to
accept.She had been at his side since that fateful day.Even then,he knew that it would be impossible to get over Akane's death.Or so he thought...
He has lately realized that Ukyou has cares a lot more about him than 
Akane ever did.From the moment that Ukyou told her then-heartbroken
fiancee "It'll be all right...,"he realized that it wasn't the end of the world.In fact,Ukyou never made him feel uncomfortable.Even when they 
sleep side-by-side every night(since there is no spare bedroom).Even when
Ukyou "accidentally" walked in on Ranma in the bath(and ended up bathing 
with him).In fact,when Ukyou's dad made a surprise reunion visit,he was
pleased and saddened to hear of Akane's tragic death.Mr.Kuonji even
understood that Ranma was unaware of Ukyou's true gender at the time that
Genma pulled that dirty trick as Ranma apologized for his dad's actions.
Ranma thought about his fiancee/best friend and the past 2 weeks as he 
and Ukyou woke up that morning.
"Good morning,Ucchan"
"Good morning,Ranma-honey."Ukyou greeted in response as they kissed 
briefly.
His normal Chinese outfits were in the
wash,so he found some okonomiyaki seller's uniforms(similar to what his
fiancee wears) in his drawers and slipped one on.
"Go ahead and open,Ran-chan.I'll be there in a moment."Ukyou said as she
slipped on her clothes.
As Ranma opened the shop,he had an extra okonomiyaki cooking on the 
stove.Later as it was almost done,Ranma began writing a letter in okonomiyaki sauce.As he finished,Ukyou saw it.
"Oh,Ran-chan,could it really be..."Ukyou exclaimed
Both blushed profusely as Ukyou read the words on the okonomiyaki:
Ucchan,
     When Akane lost her life,I thought it was the end of the world.
Instead,I've realized not only that Akane and I were never meant to be,
but also that it was the beginning.If I had known that you were 100%
woman in the first place,I would have chosen you over okonomiyaki a
decade ago.Besides,you are all that I have left in the friend and fiancee
department.I love you,Ucchan.Will you marry me?
Ran-chan
Ranma then pulled out an engagement ring and presented it to Ukyou.She 
answered ecstatically,"YES,I'LL MARRY YOU,RANMA HONEY!"
Promptly,Ranma and Ukyou began to kiss passionately when Ranma noticed a
panda with a video camera and a woman with a katana.
"Ran-chan,just ignore it"
"Anything for you,Ucchan my dear." replied Ranma as he and Ukyou 
continued kissing.
With Genma at her side,Nodoka told him "Your dreams may never come true,
but what's more important is that your son finally is truly a man among
men."

site was so outdated that I doubted that your e-mail address was still 
correct.Though I admit I'm not the world's best Ranma fanfic author,this
