As you may know,there is more than one way to spell Japanese proper
names in English.However,my spellings of such names of Ranma characters
and places are actually more correct than Viz's method because in some
of the names,the "o" or "u" sound is actually long:a Japanese long "o"
is transliterated either "oo" or "ou,"while a Japanese long "u" is
transliterated as "uu."Refer to this chart for the spellings I use on
this site as opposed to Viz's "anglicized" transliterations.Updated
